23-Jul-1763 (Ref.QSP/1878/24): Bolton le Moors. Certificate of eligibility of Samuel Mather, prisoner, to receive the county allowance (record held at Lancashire Archives). Is this the same Samuel Mather? Well quite possibly, as no Samuel Mather was married in Bolton in the following years.
