Ronald's father was William Adamson Mather and his mother was Nellie Armitage. His paternal grandparents were Moses Mather and Ann Adamson. He had two brothers named James and Clifford. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 87 on April 29th, 2016 in Blackpool.²

General Notes
- Ronald Mather moved to Blackpool in 1962. He married Vera Crowther (Lauren's grandparents) and they had one son Ian. His brothers were Clifford Mather & James Mather.
