Richard was born in March 1731 in Middle Hulton and his baptism took place there on March 9th, 1731.¹

Richard's father was John Mather and his mother was <unknown>. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Peter, Thomas, Samuel, Thomas, John, Harry, Noah, Catherine, Ann and Betty.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.  He died after 1750.  He was buried.

• Death Notes

  Richard did not die in Oct 1850.  This is more likely to be Richard an indant, the son of John baptised 2 Feb 1750 at Deane.  Also Little Hulton is normally named in Deane records, rather than simply G.B.
