Rachel Mather

Rachel was born in 1819 in Ramsbottom.¹

  There is a Rachel Mather born and baptised in 1816 at Bury, daughter of James and Mary, but that James is a weaver from Redvales.

Rachel's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary (Nancy) Stott. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, James, Betty, Hannah, Martha, Sarah and Mary. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
