Miles Mather

Miles was born in July 1749 in Outwood and his baptism took place on July 23rd, 1749 at St. Saviour (Ringley).¹

  Miles, son of James Mather the younger of Outwood, a Crofter & Mary his wife.

Miles' father was James Mather Jnr and his mother was Mary. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Miles, Mary, Thomas, Anne and Alice.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Lomas.  He died at the age of 21 in February 1771 in Ringley.
