Mary Ellen Mather

Mary was born in 1868 in Edgworth.¹

Mary's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Betty Booth.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Mary Rostron. She had seven brothers named William, Richard, John, Lambert, John, Fred and Albert.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 29 on July 14th, 1897 in Turton.  She was buried on July 17th, 1897 at St. Anne (Turton).²
