There are two Catholic Mary Mathers, daughters of William Mather of Bolton, one born 1856 daughter of Jane and the other (this Mary) born 1859, daughter of Ann. Both had brothers James.
26 Jul 1892, Mary Mather, daughter of William married Isaac Smith of Liverpool, son of George Smith at Bolton, St. Peter & St. Paul RC Church, Bolton. Witnesses were Jacobo (i.e James) Mather of Bolton and Maria Frances Smith of Liverpool.
In 1901, Mary (41, daughter) and Isaac Smith (59, son-in-law) were living with Ann Mather (65), Mary's mother
Mary and Isaac were married in a religious ceremony on July 26th, 1892 at St. Peter & Paul RC Church (Bolton) witnessed by James Mather .2
