Mary was born in March 1756 in Rumworth and her baptism took place on March 17th, 1756 at St. Mary (Deane).1 2  Mary's father was James Mather and her mother was Sarah Watson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Richard, James, James, James, Alice and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at 2 months old in May 1756 in Rumworth.  She was buried on May 20th, 1756 at St. Mary (Deane).1
