John Mather of 31 Horace Street, Halliwell, son of Wright Mather (both Curtain Cleaners) married Sarah Ann Banks, the daughter of James Banks, a corporation labourer.
In 1901, John and Sarah Ann (27 & 25) were living at 31 Horace Street.
In 1911, John and Sarah were at 328 Halliwell Road, Bolton.
In 1939, John was a curtain Cleaner at 309 Halliwell Road. Sarar A was with him (5y younger). He died at the same address in 1954, leaving his estate of £213 to Edna Rose, a married woman.
John's wife Sarah died the following year. Both deaths were recorded at Bolton North.
