John Mather

John was born in 1770 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on October 8th, 1770 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

John's father was Robert Madther and his mother was Rachel Ogden. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Samuel, Sally, Ann and Rachel. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 64 in March 1834 in Bury. His burial was on April 1st, 1834 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).²
