Rachel Madther (Rachel Mather)

Rachel was born in 1778 in Radcliffe and her baptism took place on March 8th, 1778 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

  Rachel the daughter of "Robbert" & Rachel "Madther" Whister

Rachel's father was Robert Madther and her mother was Rachel Ogden. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Samuel, Sally and Ann. She was the sixth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 60 in August 1838 in Whitefield. Her burial was on August 24th, 1838 at All Saints (Stand).¹²
