Jane Mather

Jane was born in 1794 in Atherton and her baptism took place on March 26th, 1794 at St. John the Baptist (Atherton).¹

Jane's father was Samuel Mather and her mother was Ellen Green. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Green and Margaret Speakman. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, James, James, Samuel and Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 72 in 1866 in Bolton.²
