Birth Notes

James' father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Charlotte Jones. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Esther Barlow. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John, Samuel, Richard and Esther. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died before 1851.
