James Mather

James was born on April 1st, 1881 in Cheetham and his baptism took place on July 17th, 1881 at Manchester Cathedral.¹²

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Lambie. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Ann Wilson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, David, William, Alexander, Elizabeth, Harriet and Marion. David and James were twins. He died at 5 months old in September 1881 in Prestwich.³
