James Mather

James was born in 1833 in Little Bolton.¹

  The James (born 1832) baptised 27 Jan 1833 in Sharples, son of William a spinner and Sarah (Bayley), died 12 Apr 1833, aged 6 months, so this is another.

James' father was William Mather and his mother was Martha Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Sarah Makin. He had two sisters named Sarah and Helen. He was the youngest of the three known children.

General Notes
- Helen (15) and James (8) were together in 1841. It is assumed they are children of William (no baptism to confirm). Another baptism shows son of William and Sarah.
  
  There is another James, son of William of Atherton, a silk weaving family.
