Henry was born on May 29th, 1859 in Whitefield.1  Henry's father was John Mather and his mother was Sarah Ogden.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Allen. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Francis, Samuel, Albert, Mary and Rachel.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 37 on November 29th, 1896.
