Albert's father was John Mather and his mother was Sarah Ogden.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Allen. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Francis, Samuel, Henry, Mary and Rachel.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at 7 months old on August 20th, 1862.
