Florence's father was Fred Mather and her mother was Florence Emmott. Her paternal grandparents were James Dawson (Mather) and Hannah Jackson. She had a brother and a sister, named Lesile and Dorothy. She was the oldest of the three known children. She died at the age of 6 on August 29th, 1908.²
