Emily was born on December 27th, 1877 in Bolton and her baptism took place on February 6th, 1878 at Bolton Holy Trinity.1 2  Emily's father was Robert Mather (Cunliffe) and her mother was Alice Heaton.  Her paternal grandparents were John Cunliffe and Eliza Mather. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, Eliza and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the five children.



Emily's family with Daniel Davenport

‌Emily and Daniel were married in a religious ceremony in March 1901 in Bolton.3   They had two sons named Albert and Herbert.
