Ann Mather

Ann was born in 1831 in Little Hulton.¹

Ann's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Alice Bradshaw. Her paternal grandparents were Ellis Mather and Ann Thornley. She had three brothers and a sister, named William, John, Ellis and Betty. She was the second oldest of the five children.

- Ann was aged 10 in 1841.
  
  By 1851, Ann had married Daniel Aldred, a brickmaker's labourer living with her. They were living with Ann's parents.
