Alice Mather

Alice was born in July 1760 in Warrington and her baptism took place on July 25th, 1760 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

Alice's father was John Mather and her mother was Margaret Newell. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ellen Blinstone. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elen and Mary. She had an adopted brother named Peter. She died at the age of 26 in July 1786 in Warrington. Her burial was on July 19th, 1786 in Warrington.¹

General Notes
- WARNING: There was another Alice Mather born in 1760, Baptised 29 Jun 1760 at Warrington, daughter of Josph a gardiner and Margery.
  
  The only Alice Mather marriage at Warrington is 23 Oct 1799 to James Rowston (and then another in 1810). It appears Alice remained a spinster.
  
  In July 1876, the death record confirms Alice died a spinster, aged 26.
