23 Nov 1882, Alfred Mather, 25, Cotton Spinner Operative Bachelor of 85 Oak St. Bolton, son of David Mather, married Emma Beswick at Fletcher Street Wesleyan Methodist Chapel.
In 1901, Alfred and Emma (44 & 46) were with Alfred's brother Joseph (34) and Henry (17), Mary (15), William (10), Gertrude (8), Aldred (6) and Joseph (2)
In 1911, Alfred and Emma (54 & 56) were with Henry (27), Mary (25), William (20), Gertrude (18), Aldred (16) and Joseph (12) at 77 Randal Street, Bolton
In 1916, Alfred and Emma were living at Daubhill (near Dean, SW Bolton) when their son Joseph was Killed in Action during WW1 in France.
In 1921 Alfred and Emma (64 & 66) still had their children Gertrude (35), Mary (28) and Alfred (27) with them
