Ann was born in 1821 in Barnton and her baptism took place on August 5th, 1821 at St. Chad (Farndon).¹

Birth Notes

Ann's father was John Manning and her mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Edwards. Her maternal grandparents were Charles Edwards and Elizabeth Tomlinson. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the five children.
