Elizabeth's father was John Tomlinson and her mother was Elizabeth Tinslay. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tomlinson and Jane Rylance. She had a brother named John. She was the older of the two children. She had a half-sister named Mary. She died at the age of 79 in 1836 in Holt. Her burial was on June 1st, 1836 in Holt.

- It is assumed that Mary, Elizabeth and Hester are three sisters as they all married by licence at Gresford.
  
  This is not the daughter of Randel and Ann, as she was a spinster in Randle's Will. There are several Elizabeth Tomlinsons, and this Elizabeth may be the daughter of John and Elizabeth Tomlinson, baptised 23 Oct 1757 at Holt (based on one distant DNA match).
