James Ling

James' father was James Frederick Ling and his mother was Sarah Ann Welsby.  His maternal grandparents were Josiah Welsby and (Ruth) Ellen Shaw. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Clifford, Ivy and Mary.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 in July 1966 in Bolton.²
