Elizabeth's father was John Lewis and her mother was Mary Davies.  Her paternal grandparents were James Lewis and Bridget Nowland. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, John, Richard, William and Annie.  She was the third youngest of the six children.

‌Elizabeth and Charles were married in a religious ceremony on March 16th, 1890 in Salford.³   They had a son named John.  The family line is yet to be completed.
