Harry was born in 1795 in Entwistle and his baptism took place on September 27th, 1795 at St. Anne (Turton).1  Harry's father was James Isherwood and his mother was Susan Crompton. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, James, Ralph, Robert, Samuel, William, Margaret, Anne, Jane and Mary.  He was the eighth oldest of the twelve children.
