Thomas was born in 1626 in Blackburn and his baptism took place on August 20th, 1626 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was Peter Howarth and his mother was Grace Crosse. His paternal grandparents were Lawrence Howarth and Alice Holden. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Lawrence, Thomas, Richard, James, John, Lawrence, Alice and Ellen. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died about 1627 in Blackburn.
