Thomas Howarth

Thomas was born in 1634 in Blackburn and his baptism took place on October 18th, 1634 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).¹²

  Thomas Sonne of Peter Howarth.

Thomas' father was Peter Howarth and his mother was Grace Crosse. His paternal grandparents were Lawrence Howarth and Alice Holden. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Lawrence, Thomas, Richard, James, John, Lawrence, Alice and Ellen. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 59 in 1693 in Lower Darwen.¹

  Thomas Howarth of Lower Darwen, living 29 Jan 1693, died in 1699, possessed of a proportionate share of the Walmsley Tennement.

General Notes
- The eldest son and heir, Thomas Haworth, of Lower Darwen, succeeded his father, and died in the year 1693, leaving issue a son, Peter, and two daughters, Elizabeth, wife of her kinsman, Richard Haworth, of Thurcroft, Gent. and Hannah, wife of Thomas Critchley, of Livesey.
  
  He married Elizabeth who survived Thomas. They had Peter, Elizabeth and Hannah. The only marriage found to Elizabeth is 11 Dec 1688 to Eliz Osbuston at Manchester.
  
  Thomas died about 1693. Will dated 24 Nov 1693 and proved at Chester 6 Dec 1693.
