William Hopley

William was born in 1761 in Hampton and his baptism took place on June 1st, 1761 in Malpas.¹

William's father was Thomas Hopley and his mother was Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. His maternal grandparents were Johannes Johnson and Cicely Rimmer. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Joseph, Mary and Elize. He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 in February 1838 in Malpas. His burial was on February 19th, 1838 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹
