Mary Hopley

Mary was born in 1752 in Bickley and her baptism took place on October 11th, 1752 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹

Mary's father was Thomas Hopley and her mother was Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. Her maternal grandparents were Johannes Johnson and Cicely Rimmer. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, William, Thomas, Joseph and Elize. She was the oldest of the six children.

  Possibly married Jos. Guest at Malpas 24 Dec 1775.
  
  In 1778, Ciciely Tellett was born Eccleston, daughter of Mary Blackley and Thomas Tellett (who married 1773) so is probably unrelated.
