Martha Hopley

Martha was born in 1786 in Hampton and her baptism took place on October 19th, 1786 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹

Martha's father was William Hopley and her mother was Sarah Griffiths. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, William, Anne and Mary. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 70 in May 1856 in Tushingham. Her burial was on May 31st, 1856 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹¹
