In 1841, Joseph (50), a labourer, and Ann (47) were at Cottage Land, Malpas with son George (11) and Margaret (4). A neighbour was Ann Hopley (15) who was possibly a servant girl for Joseph & Jane Dutton (30 & 35), a shoe maker.
Joseph and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on December 28th, 1813 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).1 They had a biological daughter named Margaret. They also had a foster son named George. The family line is yet to be completed.
