Sarah was born on October 7th, 1881 in Kearsley.

Birth Notes

Sarah's father was Thomas Hooton and her mother was Mary Ann Barnes. Her maternal grandparents were James Barnes and Mary Bolton. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, James, Thomas, Thomas, Harriet, Alice, Ann, Alice, Jane and Bertha. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
