In 1869, Mary Ann Barns married Thomas Hooton (not William Tomlinson in 1870, as that was the daughter of William and Ellen) at Bolton, Emmanuel Parish Church
In 1911, Mary Ann Barnes (64, widow) was living at 28 Bent Street, Farnworth, Bolton with daughters Alice, Sarah, Jane and Bertha (32, 29, 24 & 21). Of her 8 children, only one had died.
Mary and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony in 1869 at Bolton Emmanuel.3
