Betsy was born in 1874 in Breightmet.¹

Birth Notes

Betsy's father was Joseph Holt and her mother was Sarah Lomax. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Holt and Elizabeth (Betty) Nuttall; her maternal grandparents were James Lomax and Nancy (Mary) Holt. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Nancy, Benjamin, James, Mary, Amelia, Elizabeth, Sarah and Harriet. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
