William was born in October 1869 in Astley Bridge.¹

Birth Notes

William's father was Abraham Heapy and his mother was Ellen Nightingale. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Heapy and Catherine Mather. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Elizabeth and Annie. He was the oldest of the four children. He died as an infant at 2 months old in December 1869 in Sharples.¹
