John was born in 1832 in Tarporley and his baptism took place there on February 9th, 1832.1  John's father was John Havers and his mother was Phoebe Tomlinson.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Tomlinson and Martha Carr. He had two sisters named Mary and Sarah.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 58 in April 1890 in Salford.2 




John's first family with Isabella Skiffington

‌John and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony in March 1855 in Salford.2   They had a biological son and a biological daughter, named John and Mary.  They also had an adopted son named Sarah.


John's second family with Margaret Power

‌John and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony in July 1879 in Chorlton (Wybumbury).2   They had an adopted daughter named Anne.
