John Haslam

John's father was John Haslam and his mother was Mary Mather.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Alice Entwistle. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Charles, Thomas, Isaac, Ann and Ellen.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 5 in November 1820 in Turton.  He was buried on November 23rd, 1820 at St. Anne (Turton).²
