Alice's father was Joshua Grimshaw and her mother was Jane Oddy. Her paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Grimshaw and Mary Stockton. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Joshua, Jeremiah, Joshua, William, John, Mary, Jane, Sarah and Esther. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at 11 months old in March 1732 in Roxby. Her burial was on May 20th, 1732 in Roxby.²
