Edith's father was John Gregory and her mother was Jane Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Betty Barns. She had a brother named Ernest.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 71 on March 7th, 1938 in Astley Bridge.  She was buried on March 7th, 1938 in Lancashire.^3 4
