Jane's father was Henry Gibson and her mother was Margaret (Peggy) Giles. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Cuthbert, John, Thomas, Mary, Ann, Ann and Betty.  Jane and Ann were twins.  She died at the age of 2 in October 1781 in Harwood.  She was buried on October 22nd, 1781 at St. Bartholomew (Great Harwood).²
