Betty was born in 1783 in Harwood and her baptism took place on March 18th, 1803 at St. Bartholomew (Great Harwood).1  Betty's father was Henry Gibson and her mother was Margaret (Peggy) Giles. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Cuthbert, John, Thomas, Mary, Jane, Ann and Ann.  She died at the age of 20 in March 1803 in Harwood.  She was buried on March 18th, 1803 at St. Bartholomew (Great Harwood).1
