Henry Eddowes

Henry was born on February 21st, 1841 in Walton on the Hill and his baptism took place on March 29th, 1841 in Liverpool.¹

Henry's father was Thomas Stanton Eddowes and his mother was Mary Ann Horseman. His paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Brown. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Stanton, Richard, Arthur, Frances and Amelia. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 35 on May 16th, 1876 in Birkenhead.²

- This is a wealthy Eddowes family of merchants originally from Wrexham, and now Birkenhead and Liverpool. There is also another Henry born in Gresford, Wrexham in 1841
  
  25 Feb 1869, Henry married Josephine Starbuck Holt Lyne, the daughter of Joseph Lyne, a Ship Owner and Ship Broker.
