Hannah's father was Charles Eddowes and her mother was Ann Armstrong.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Martha Jones. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Thomas, Emily, Elizabeth and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the six children.
