Elizabeth was born in 1865 in Tranmere.1  Elizabeth's father was Charles Eddowes and her mother was Ann Armstrong.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Martha Jones. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Thomas, Hannah, Emily and Sarah.  She was the third oldest of the six children.

‌Elizabeth and Edward were married in a religious ceremony on January 25th, 1892 at St. Paul's (Tranmere).2  They had three sons and a daughter, named Charles, Ernest, Robert and Elizabeth.  There are possibly more children.
