Gwendoline was born on July 17th, 1901 in Almondbury.1  Gwendoline's father was Ernest Dyson and her mother was Hannah Wilkinson.  Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Dyson and Lucy Thorpe; her maternal grandparents were William Wilkinson and Mary Whip. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, Leslie, Elsie and Barbara.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died after 1983 in Berkhamstead.2

‌Gwendoline and Sidney were married in a religious ceremony on June 1st, 1926 in Almondbury.2   They had two daughters named Pamela and Hilary.  There are no more children.
