Daniel's father was John Dyson and his mother was Mary Raynor. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George, Hadfield, Abraham, Emelia, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the youngest of the seven children. He had a half-sister named Ellen.  He died at the age of 24 in September 1870 in Huddersfield.²

  26 Nov 1870 Newspaper reports that Daniel Dyson, a Warehouseman of Berry Brow was charged with indecent assult.  This must have been abother.
