Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in 1831 in Warrington and her baptism took place on September 11th, 1831 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1   Betty's father was Thomas Dutton and her mother was Mary Ellison.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Dutton and Elizabeth (Betty) Bebbington; her maternal grandparents were John Ellison and Mary Whitley. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Thomas, Thomas, William, Mary, Ann and Sarah.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 41 in 1872 in Little Woolton.1
