- The twins (Joan and Elsie) are left and right. In second position is Joan (Fred's wife) and the third from the right is Pamela (Betty) Dittmer. Dora isnt there, unless she was taking the picture of this girls day out.

(Elizabeth)'s father was Hermann (Chris) Hinrich Christopher Dittmer and her mother was Elizabeth (Lilly) Graham. Her paternal grandparents were Johann (Chris) Heinrich Christoph Dittmer and Katharina (Margaret) Margretha Magdalena Heuer. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harold, Charles, Dora and (Marie). (Elizabeth) and (Marie) were twins. She died at the age of 68 in March 1996 in Liverpool.²

  My mum remembers that Joan had an ill daughter (whom Mum never met). Mum exchanged Christmas cards with Joan and had a letter form her about 2001 letting her know her daughter had died.
  
  In Q3 1949, Joan E Dittmer married Robert Reece at Liverpool North.
